The GTN-P Data Management System enables to collect data from each national entities submitting permafrost temperatures and active layer thicknesses data. This collect is associated to numerous chalenges in order to keep the consistency of the final products. In this section we expose the type of analysis ran within the DMS in order to segregate and caracterize each time series.
Each monitoring site within the DMS are post processed in order to retrieve:
- Metadata completness: percentage of metadata fields provided for each monitoring sites
- Location precison: count of decimals provided for longitude, latitude
- Temporal extent and resolution: frequency of measurement, profile definition and period of the ressource
in space and time (Algorithn in the database itself or implemented by modelers feeding back into the database?)
